The fertile area of Buje is a somewhat hilly area favored by the Mediterranean climate. Since ancient times, it has been planted with vineyards and olive trees, creating a typical Istrian landscape. There is one of the most famous wine roads in Croatia, with as many as 23 famous wine producers.
